Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Wells Fargo Compliance is the company s compliance second line of defense function, providing company-wide leadership, standards, support, and independent oversight to ensure that all business groups abide by applicable laws, rules, regulations and regulatory guidance (regulatory requirements), meet compliance responsibilities, and manage compliance risks. Wells Fargo Compliance credibly challenges management decisions, business processes and activities, and evaluates and assesses adherence to applicable regulatory requirements. It provides appropriate analysis, reporting, and escalation to senior management and the Board of Directors, sets minimum standards for the company, and gives advice, guidance, and support for compliance risk management activities across the enterprise.

Financial Crimes Risk Management s (FCRM s) mission is to protect the Wells Fargo brand globally from all risks related to financial crimes, including money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, and fraud. The FCRM Governance Office focuses on prevention activities, managing corporate FCRM policies, and training, providing program oversight and governance over LOBs, and maintaining compliance with Operational Risk requirements.

The FCRM Governance Office is seeking a detail oriented, highly motivated FCRM Risk Measurement Consultant. This position will report to the Financial Crimes Risk Measurement Lead and will play an important role in supporting the Enterprise Risk Identification, Risk Appetite, and Key Indicator programs for Financial Crimes. These risk programs strive to strengthen risk management capabilities through standardized and formalized programs to provide a comprehensive and integrated view of risk for senior management, the Operating Committee, and the Board of Directors.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Foster strong working relationships with other stakeholders in FCRM, the Front Line Financial Control Leaders and other representatives, Compliance, and other Corporate Risk (second line) teams and representatives
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate the current period s results for metrics
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements and present potential solutions, including enhancements to existing, or creation of new, metrics
  • Work with the enterprise-level teams owning the risk measurement programs to provide financial crimes inputs, assessments, and results; actively engage in feedback loops for the processes; and execute any necessary follow-up and/or reporting
  • Assist with the creation of professional reports that will be shared with FCRM, Corporate Risk (second line) leaders, and the Board of Directors
  • Produce on time and high-quality reports and work products in an efficient manner
  • Perform duties in adherence with the various program s policies, procedures, and guidance
  • Adapt to new requests, quick turnaround times, and changes in a positive and professional manner while balancing multiple priorities in a fast paced, high demand environment
  • Assist with other initiatives and special projects as appropriate


Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) experience
  • Wells Fargo Enterprise Risk Measurement Program experience.
  • Active Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and/or Wells Fargo AML/Sanctions Credential
  • 3+ years of financial crimes (BSA/AML, OFAC, fraud, ABC) experience
  • Experience developing and/or managing key risk and/or key performance metrics
  • Effective at building relationships with proven success collaborating with diverse partners across the organization
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks and changing priorities while meeting deadlines and achieving goals
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively work independently and remote from direct team members, as well as be an engaged and contributing team member
  • Ability to think strategically, implement, and deliver to business objectives
  • Proven ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
