Description: The Director of Compliance is responsible for the management and expansion of the current Unite Us Compliance program; to include but is not limited to: HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, FERPA, VAWA and corresponding risk assessments, security questionnaires, SOC 2 Type 2 Reporting. You will ensure Unite Us is compliant with legal and regulatory guidelines and identify key additions to the compliance program and own the planning and execution of such initiatives. This position will report to the Chief of Staff and is the liaison for internal/external compliance. In this role you love details and actively keep abreast of regulatory issues and trends in order to strategically ensure that Clinical and Delegated Vendor department practices and procedures reflect industry regulatory standards. What You'll Do: Partner with departments to conduct monitoring and oversight; ensures compliance with state and federal regulations. Oversees the progress and implementation of all internal/external corrective action plans Oversees the accuracy and timeliness of all internal/external reporting Serves as the single point of contact for all internal/external audit requests for regulatory and compliance, including audit readiness. Responsible for managing a team of direct reports, coaching, staff development and executing performance management processes throughout the year Responsible for generating reports based on monitoring results for publication to the business and executives and use by Compliance Manages all vendor relationships to ensure on-time testing (risk assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability scans, etc. What's Required: Deep knowledge of health-care regulations (HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2) and other regulations (FERPA, VAWA) Leadership experience in a health plan or health system operations Work experience providing mid to long-term strategic and tactical direction and operational oversight Demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities Demonstrated ability to work well with others, understand process flows and correlating platforms, recommend options and implement solutions Strong at communications- experience preparing and delivering information to multiple audiences Experience setting strategic direction Planning, organization, and implementation skills- experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives
