This position resides at Eglin AFB, Florida, and provides program planning, system acquisition, systems engineering, and test and evaluation support to the U.S. Special Operations Command, Detachment 1 (USSOCOM Det 1) Stinger II, AC-130J, and Stand-off Precision Guided Munition (SOPGM) acquisition programs. The successful candidate will assist in drafting and reviewing acquisition documentation. The successful candidate will assist in drafting contract strategies, prepare and support the formal presentation, and assist in completing technical evaluations. The successful candidate shall create schedules and other management aids to track and report on contract actions. The successful candidate will participate in program management, technical, and task order reviews. The successful candidate will interface with and advise headquarters, DoD acquisition agencies, and contractors on acquisition planning and sustaining of systems managed through USSOCOM Det The successful candidate will assist with all aspects of program execution and participate in meetings, analyses, demonstrations and exercises.
Applicants must possess a minimum of SECRET security clearance. A Masters degree plus 10 years of relevant experience in program management or similar leadership positions is preferred. A Bachelors degree and additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a MS degree. Applicant must have broad skills with regard to requirements management, program planning, and test and evaluation planning and execution. Relevant experience must include acquisition of previously fielded munition systems. Applicants must be capable of functioning in fast-paced, high stress environments where team building and coordinated execution are critical to success. Experience with Quick Reaction Capability programs is highly desired. Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications is highly preferred. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
