The Lead Negotiator will assist the Contract Administration team with drafting and maintaining end user agreements and corporate templates, reviewing end-user agreements generated by the Contract Administrators from templates, and negotiating agreements with CBORD Horizon prospects and customers.

  • Understand and effectively communicate business process to prospects/customers
  • Negotiate contracts, includes running redlines with review of Director
  • Draft contract language for Director approval
  • Prepare Contract Modification Forms for management approval
  • Collaborate with Directors of Contract Administration on team initiatives
  • Communicate with Roper legal as needed for negotiations or as directed for corporate initiatives
  • Manage and maintain changes to contract templates with prior approval
  • Assist with training of sales personnel and Contract Administrators
  • Review work of Contract Administrators in a timely manner
  • What You ll Bring to the Table
  • Advanced Degree, preferably in law preferred
  • 6 years of experience in business law preferred
  • Experience managing contracts required
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and a positive work environment at all times
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to train others
  • Ability to set priorities effectively
  • Ability to handle interruptions well and move between tasks with ease
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural judgments
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong business, contract, and legal writing skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Good working knowledge of the company, process and procedure, and product lines
  • In depth knowledge of intellectual property laws, guidelines, and policies preferred
