Examining life and health insurance contracts for compliance with Maine law
Coordinating contract reviews with regulators, including federal regulators
Interacting with insurance representatives to ensure contracts are in compliance with Maine law
Researching consumer and industry issues relating to life and health products and resolving consumer inquiries and complaints
To be successful in the position, you must have knowledge of and experience in:
Life, health and accident insurance
State insurance laws, rules and regulations
Federal insurance programs
Practices and procedures of insurance and related industries
Communicating effectively with staff and state officials
Speaking before various groups to provide information regarding life and health insurance
A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field and one (1) year of experience in the insurance industry -OR- a five (5) year combination of education, training, and/or experience in the insurance industry.
