Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Sourcing & Contracting Analyst for a Right To Hire assignment with one of our premier Insurance clients in Holmdel, NJ .

Responsibilities :

Lead the end-to-end sourcing and contract negotiations process for new and renewed vendor engagements, for both IT and Non-IT Services.
Liaise with the client's internal stakeholders and partners to understand their requirements for procurement of goods or services.
Lead the development of RFP/RFI specifications, sourcing strategies and supplier negotiation strategies for fulfilling such requirements.
Engage suppliers and lead the sourcing process to select an appropriate supplier for fulfillment.
Lead pricing and contract negotiations stemming from the sourcing process to ensure that the client receives superior commercial and contractual terms.
Learn the client's spend and contract landscape and propose save opportunities as well as owing supplier relationships and monitoring supplier performance.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills, possess the ability to multi-task, are detail oriented, and set and manage priorities.
Liaise effectively with various teams, including Legal, Risk & Compliance and Security.

Lead the Sourcing Process: prepare RFI/RFPs by working closely with the business to understand their needs, translate that into RFI/RFP template, ask the right questions, manage the RFI/RFP process
Research and advise Guardian stakeholders on supplier options, deal structuring and other deal aspects, including deal duration, selection criteria and supplier KPIs
Create evaluation sheets, evaluate the supplier responses, and perform qualitative and quantitative analysis to drive consensus on vendor selection
Provide detailed analysis of supplier proposals to stakeholders, including pricing and business terms
Analyze technology sourcing requests to determine the extent of sourcing team's involvement and prioritize accordingly
Analyze supplier proposals to differentiate between suppliers on proposed solution, commercial and legal terms
Negotiate savings and cost avoidance


Negotiate outsourcing / offshoring / managed services contracts
Provide end-to-end administrative support for technology/non-technology contracts
Redline contracts to facilitate negotiations
Analyze and negotiate business terms and conditions with vendors via phone and/or email to ensure minimum risk related to Guardian purchases
Ensure all contracts for legal review are organized, validated, and include all supporting documentation
Maintain updated contract repository
Work with internal customers and partners, such as legal and business owners to optimally structure contracts. Lead regular meetings with internal requester's to review expiring contracts and investigate renewal options for cost saving opportunities
Execute against our set standards and ensure compliance with processes, policies and best practices
Explain contract terms to internal business partners to ensure they are compliant with contracts. Develop processes and tracking mechanisms to measure and report on compliance
Meet with Legal teams to review and set priorities for all contracts and provide project status and analysis throughout the contract life cycle
Provide continuous improvement recommendations to streamline current vendor sourcing/contracting process
Stay abreast of current industry contracting practices and supplier landscape
Obtain savings and cost avoidance in contracts
Consistently monitor and validate data regularly to report on compliance issues. Develop processes if they do not exist for specific vendors to ensure compliance

Some local travel to New York, New York or Bethlehem, PA may occasionally be required.

Required Skills :

A minimum of five years of experience in sourcing and contract negotiations including outsourcing / offshoring / managed services contracts
Demonstrable understanding of end-to-end sourcing and contracting process
Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, and be able to manage priorities
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Understanding of business and legal terms related to sourcing/contract matters
Analytical and contract negotiation skills
Ability to interact effectively with various departments such as Sourcing and Legal
Ability to plan, organize and carry out multiple related activities simultaneously
Demonstrate self-awareness, embraces feedback, and has an appropriate sense of urgency
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills :

Bachelor's degree in IT, Legal or Business. An MBA is preferred
Institute for Supply Management membership or certification(s) preferred
