Job Summary: Responsible for the collecting/submitting of Quality Measure Data in accordance with regulatory and standard agencies. Works closely with medical staff leaders, hospital administration, and outside agencies with regard to Quality Measure Data.
Education: Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Public Health or directly related health field preferred.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None. RHIA or CPHQ strongly preferred.
Work Experience: 5 - 7 years related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of computer applications, internal auditing techniques, utilization review, billing, ICD-9-CM and CPT coding, reimbursement, general hospital operations, and applicable state and federal regulations. Proficient knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)and database fundamentals. Ability to professionally manage demanding workload with frequent interruptions. Possess assertiveness, political intuitiveness and self-motivation skills. Demonstrated strength in auditing, analytical skills, problem identification and resolution, investigation and critical thinking skills. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to integrate the analysis of data to discover facts or develop knowledge, concepts or interpretations. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to be detailed oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.
