Rubenstein Law is seeking to hire an experienced Opener/Legal Assistant, to join its growing Opening team in our North Miami Office. The ideal candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be patient, courteous, diplomatic, and able to deal with various personalities and situations. This position is also a backup to the front desk. Our Front Desk/Legal Assistant is often the first person with whom clients and visitors interact. He/she is essential to the firm's image and must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to communicate with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, vendors, staff, and others.

Responsibilities:

  • Open claims for newly assigned cases.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse populations including attorneys, adjusters, and clients both in person and over the phone.
  • Generate and send representation letters to parties involved in the case, e.g., private attorneys, insurance companies, and medical providers.
  • Administrative duties including, but not limited to:

  • Be the backup to the Front Desk.
  • Greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage the flow of lobby traffic, greet guests, and alert employees when visitors arrive.
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly reception area.
  • Receive and sort incoming mail and packages.
  • Assist walk-in clients and potential clients with case inquiries, and general questions.
  • Additional administrative duties assigned as needed.
  • Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Comfortable working with computer programs.
  • Highly organized, able to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Prior experience preferred, but not required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish – required.
