Northrop Grumman Space Sector seeks a Contract Administrator for its NASA and DoD Engineering Services Operating Unit in Greenbelt, MD. The successful candidate will assist the contracts staff with all aspects of contract administration across the contract lifecycle, in a fast paced environment. The responsibilities of the position include the processing of contracts and modification bookings, the management of historical contract data, and the fulfillment and tracing of contract deliverables. The candidate will review the terms and conditions of basic contractual documents to ensure protection of company interests, assist with the preparation and collection of contract deliverables, and to participate in re-competitions and business development opportunities. The individual will take part in the operating unit’s adherence to government regulations and corporate policies and objectives, to support contractual direction received from the customers, and facilitate other duties as assigned.
• 3 Years with Bachelor’s degree; 1 Year with Master’s in business, finance, or related discipline from an accredited institution
•Accuracy and a high attention to detail
•Must have excellent communication skills, be proficient in MS Office
•Strong interpersonal relationship skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
•The willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
• US citizenship is a prerequisite
Familiarity with the basic federal contracting regulation. Frequent use of, and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of concepts, and principles. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks. Willingness to learn and be a team player.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance
•Fundamental knowledge of FAR/DFARS
•Prior experience in contracting, subcontracting, or related field
•Experience with Cost Point and CMART
