As the Corporate Real Estate Manager , you will be primarily responsible for helping NFI manage the growth of its more than 40 million square feet of logistics real estate which it occupies and operates throughout the US and Canada.?
The position will report to the VP of Real Estate and will require the candidate to work collaboratively with numerous internal and external stakeholders to provide real estate solutions in a fast moving and entrepreneurial environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to grow their commercial real estate knowledge by joining a leading supply chain and logistics company. This position will initially be based in Cherry Hill, NJ; however, in mid-2019 NFI will be relocating its headquarters to the Camden waterfront in a newly constructed, 18-story office tower offering unparalleled views of Center City Philadelphia with easy connections to area highways, bridges, and public transportation systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Intake and completion of various real estate related requests from within the company, including but not limited to: New requests for available real estate, rental rates, operating expenses, and other market data.Coordination with brokers and landlords on property surveys, comparative analysis, and site visits.
Portfolio and database management activities including the tracking and reporting of lease expiration and renewal dates, rent schedules, operating expense audits, property taxes and potential tax appeals, maintenance and repair responsibilities, and insurance certificates.?
Providing support to the NFI Construction and Property Management teams to determine scope of work, schedule, and budget of Tenant Improvements and Repairs.
Preparation of presentation materials and marketing packages.?
In close coordination with the VP of Real Estate and Legal department, draft, review, and negotiate Letters of Intent, Leases, and other commercial property contracts.?
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with major coursework in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in the Real Estate industry.
Must be highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks/projects, and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and analytical skills with strong attention to detail and diligent follow-up.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Gmail, Microsoft Excel, CoStar and Salesforce proficiency is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate internally and externally.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with portfolio information.
Must be willing to solve problems and get results.
Travel will be driven by transaction volume and activity and is estimated to be approximately 25%.
