Job DescriptionBusy Connecticut immigration law practice seeking multi-lingual (English//Spanish speaking) attorney for our Waterbury and Danbury office. Requirement: Must be admitted to practice in Connecticut. One year or previous legal clinic work in immigration, trial practice or a similar area is required. This position has a heavy concentration in removal (deportation) defense work in Immigration Court, juvenile petitions, political asylum applications, appellate work, legal brief writing and family-based visa petitions. Must also be comfortable appearing in Connecticut state courts. Requires own transportation. Salary commensurate with experience. Must be self-starter and comfortable working independently. Must be willing to travel and comfortable working occasional long hours. Position requires good customer service and friendly, compassionate client contact.
