Basic Job Information Job Description Candidate will require a strong knowledge of US Export Controls including the licensing, customer screening for the release of hardware, software, services and technology categorized as Dual Use goods as defined under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).Candidate will uphold operational procedures of Qualcomm. Candidate will have working experience with export compliance best practices as it related to customer end-use screening, know your customer guidelines and denied party screening. Candidate will document processes, perform audit administration, train and support global personnel on export compliance. International licensing experience is preferred.The purpose of this job is to review products (hardware, software, source code, and technology), parties, and transactions in support of US and International laws related to exporting of controlled strategic goods and encryption regulatory requirements. This review involves making a licensing determination and whether government licensing or permits are required prior to export.For government auditing and reporting requirements, this information is documented in our systems.Work closely with internal business teams including: Global Export Compliance, Sales, Operations, Customs, Logistics, Supply Management, Program Management, and Engineering to facilitating both tangible and intangible export shipments. Review, approve, and release tangible and intangible exports in compliance with US and country level regulations.Perform denied party screening of business partners.Review and approves screening documents as per US export regulations. Review third party products by contacting suppliers for export classification and export authorization information. Evaluate the international licensing determination for export and import of controlled items such as encryption authorizations.Enters record keeping requirements into the Trade Export System (TES). Ensure internal reviews of processes, corrective actions, and training is conducted as required Minimum Qualifications: 2 years experience in the following areas required:Background in international business, international relations, operations management or logistics.Working knowledge of US export control regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), especially Categories 3, 4 and 5 (Part I and II) of the CCL Experience creating and providing training and presentationsMust be organized and detail oriented and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills working with international teamsFlexibility to take on additional responsibilities not otherwise specified Preferred Qualifications: Experience in export compliance such as working at high tech manufacturers, and freight forwarder/customsWorking knowledge / experience in telecommunications, information security, cryptography, electronics, integrated circuits and computer export controls. International export licensing experience Education: Required: Bachelor's, Business Administration
