The Global Real Estate (GRE) Estimator will operate with alignment to the firm's construction of the new world headquarters at 270 Park Avenue, New York.. The scope of role to include, but is not limited to:. Prepare comprehensive construction cost estimates to inform decision making aligned to GRE projects. Third party estimating review and oversight. Maintain cost benchmarking information as point of comparison to market data; adjust as necessary based on client attributes, market conditions, and project specifics.. Partnership with project management team to develop conceptual estimates for client driven changes and associated recommendations. Monitor progress of each estimated costs against actuals. Qualifications:. Minimum 15 years of related experience in Estimating and Planning for high-rise commercial real estate projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with senior leadership. Knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Analytical and quantitative skills desired. Experience reading and understanding architectural drawings. Knowledge of leases, contracts, and construction practices preferred. Demonstrated ability to identify cost risks and opportunities, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce overall project risks. Strong working knowledge of methods of construction, architectural drawings, furniture, and workplace concepts / trends.
