This product suite, along with our Markets business, helps us service our core client segments: Asset Managers, Asset Owners, Insurance/GSEs, Banks/Broker Dealers and Hedge Funds and Alternatives. The CFS Middle Office Department is responsible for ensuring all aspects of operations for clients are completed, transactions are processed on time, exceptions are resolved proactively; provide single point of contact team and subject matter expertise to the clients. Middle Office covers trade instruction capture, settlement; fail management, cash instruction capture, projections, overdrafts, asset servicing instruction capture, dividends, foreign exchange, collateral, derivatives lifecycle management and bank loans.
Day to day monitoring of incoming client instructions i.e subscription, redemption, transfer and switches
Timely and efficient processing of said orders into custody platform and onwards to external counterparties
Completion of all necessary paperwork to facilitate order processing i.e subscription documents, stock transfer forms etc
Processing of all related cash for subscriptions/transfers and monitoring for incoming proceeds
Ensure compliance as appropriate with regulatory requirements and with the relevant short, medium and long-term goals, objectives and values of JP Morgan
Day to day monitoring of incoming administrator communications i.e contract notes, statements etc
Taking appropriate action with respect to client queries
Complete bookings to aid in monthly position reconciliations
Monitor, analyze, input and process all corporate action activity on client portfolios in a manner consistent with internal and client SLA
Provide regular feedback to managers and more senior colleagues with regard to workflow, issues etc.
Liaise with external counterparties and other departments in a competent and professional manner at all times as representative of JP Morgan and the Custody Dept.
Assist with ad hoc projects/requests as deemed appropriate by Managers and more senior colleague s i.e portfolio transitions, system testing etc.Handle and resolve complex/unusual operational problems that are referred from above or from Custody Client Service Group Core Abilities:
Strong skills with Microsoft Office products an advantage (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
Experience with Process Management, Analysis and Design methodologies.
Self-starter and ability to learn quickly
