Roles &Responsibilities:

The Program Manager ofCorporate Compliance is responsible for supporting the Sr. Director, VicePresident and SVP/Chief Compliance Officer with the implementation andoversight of a comprehensive Compliance Program for the Mount Sinai HealthSystem, which includes eight system hospitals and a medical school. The Managerwill work directly with the Director and Sr. Director of Corporate Compliancein managing the workplans designed by members of Compliance leadership. Inaddition, the Manager will participate in meetings and projects geared towardsmitigating compliance risk factors while upholding the Mount Sinai Culture ofCompliance. The Manager will perform analysis of Corporate Programs and workwith the members of Compliance leadership in presenting results in a structuredformat (e.g., written report) to the Senior Vice President of Compliance.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

?Assumes responsibilityfor assigned corporate programs and special projects in a professional mannerand in accordance with approved programs, operating standards and establishedtime frames, as required.

?Corporate Programsinclude support activities related to contracting review, training andeducation, HIPAA, investigative reviews, conflicts of interest, population healthprograms and other programs as required.

?Prepares appropriate andcomprehensive work programs and reports, conducts research and analysis withminimal direction and supervision.

?Ensures that the qualityand scope of all projects meets the standards as established by the Senior VicePresident of Compliance and Chief Compliance Officer, the Audit and ComplianceCommittee of the Board of Trustees, other Organizational Leadership, the HealthSystem?s External Auditors and External Regulating Bodies.

?Manages theadministrative/operational activities surrounding key institutional committeesinvolving members of senior leadership, faculty and Compliance leadershipincluding but not limited to the Compliance Oversight Committee and StaffConflicts of Interest Committee.

?Maintains detailed andorganized workpapers and documentation to support activities and related work.

?Responsible forassisting the Sr. Director of Corporate Compliance with the preparation andmaintenance of Compliance department presentations to the Audit and ComplianceCommittee of the Board of Trustees and other system-wide Committees.

?Evaluates and identifiesareas of risk and appraises their significance in relation to the assignedenvironment, keeping the Sr. Director of Corporate Compliance apprised of thesedevelopments on a timely basis.

?Reports findings andmakes innovative recommendations to correct unsatisfactory conditions andimprove the overall risk profile.

?Works on multipleprojects simultaneously, ensuring completion of assignments within establishedtime frames.

?Identifies and monitorsnew industry developments to assess their applicability to the Organization.

?Incorporates the use ofautomated review techniques, as applicable.

?Uses a collaborative andconsultative, ?service-oriented? approach in assigned tasks and all dealingswith Medical Center personnel.

?Develops relationshipsand fosters partnerships with colleagues, management, faculty and staff.

?Ensures projects arecompleted with high integrity and a commitment to excellence.

?Performs specialprojects as assigned by the Sr. Director and /or Sr. Vice President and ChiefCompliance Officer.

?Prepares draft and finalreports, as required.

?Makes oral or writtenpresentation(s), as required.

Requirements:?

?College Degree (Major inLaw, Health Sciences, Business Administration, Finance preferred); with atleast five years of comprehensive business experience, preferably within ahealthcare institution, major accounting firm or other healthcare,service-related industry or equivalent experience.

?Excellent communication,interpersonal and written skills are required.

?Must be flexible,innovative and creative, with a high energy level.

?Excellent analyticalskills.

?Must maintain a thoroughworking knowledge of the healthcare industry, its laws and regulations.

?Must maintain up-to-dateknowledge of changes within the Organization.

?Must be able to workproductively in a team-structured environment in a collaborative manner.

?Must show initiative andthe ability to accomplish work independently with minimal supervision.

?Ability to identifycompliance risk exposure and share findings with Sr. Director of CorporateCompliance Initiatives.

?Extensive computerskills are essential including computer automated applications (e.g., MicrosoftExcel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), other hospital systems (e.g.,financial/billing systems) as well as software and related uses. Some of theseskills may be considered as acquired through applied knowledge and exposure toMount Sinai specific systems.

?Continuously developsand maintains healthcare, compliance, computer and other relevant skills on acurrent and professional level and identifies opportunities for personaldevelopment.
