Your Role and Responsibilities As an IBM Global Markets Attorney, you will support Global Markets client executives, sales leaders and legal colleagues in negotiating complex IT transactions including cloud analytics, software, hardware, consulting services transactions, as well as IP and data security. You will lead negotiations for such transactions, dealing directly with client's outside counsel and closing such transactions in a timely manner without an unreasonable level of risk to IBM. You will work with the IBM stakeholders to understand the business needs and partner to create practical solutions that achieve business goals while managing risk. Required Professional and Technical Expertise JD from an accredited law school and admitted and member in good standing in at least one State Bar. An experienced lawyer (3 plus years) with either in-house experience, law firm experience or both; Experience with negotiating complex IT transactions, including cloud, analytics, software, hardware, and consulting services transactions; Experience with negotiating terms around intellectual property and data security, including GDPR; Experience counseling on applicable law and risk mitigation strategies; Ability to understand business needs and partner with the business to create practical solutions that achieve business goals while managing risk; Strong analytic skills and ability to effectively communicate (both in writing and verbally); and Proven ability to work as part of a team with both business and other legal professionals.Salary Range: NAMinimum QualificationLess than 5 years Associated topics: attorney, company, compliance, compliance department, corporate attorney, counsel, court, courtroom, legal, legal affairs
