Job Description

The open position is for a Tax?Senior Vice President?based in the New York office who will be dedicated to the tax due diligence practice, which is within Houlihan Lokey?s Financial Advisory Services business.?The due diligence practice?s primary client base is private equity, though we also perform diligence for strategic acquirers.?

As a Senior Vice?President?in the due diligence practice, your primary functions will include performing tax due diligence for buy- and sell-side engagements.?The responsibilities include tax due diligence and tax research in federal, state/local, sales/use property, payroll and unclaimed property. It also involves drafting tax due diligence reports.?There is also plenty of opportunity to provide ad hoc tax and structuring advice to in-house investment bankers and financial restructuring professionals.

We are looking for a professional with six to eight years +?experience in tax due diligence.?Since most M&A tax due diligence professionals specialize in one area, we anticipate a learning curve, but will ultimately require proficiency in each of these areas.?

Candidates must have a strong knowledge of tax, keen analystical capabilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills

JD preferred. LLM (Tax) a plus, but not required. Ideal candidate will have 4 to 8 years? experience at a consulting/audit firm manager providing M&A tax services. Big 4 or comparable tax due diligence experience is required.?
