The General Counsel will oversee the compliance and risk management activities of the firm by ensuring the company ??s contracts follow policies and legal guidelines. A successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of applicable laws and regulations and the ability to make prudent legal decisions. The goal of this role is to create an effective guardian of the organization by facilitating business strategies while limiting risk exposure. The candidate will ensure legal compliance regarding mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity, oversee compliance with corporate governance, and establish the prudence of defending lawsuits and prosecuting.
