Facebook is seeking a creative, thoughtful and empathetic individual to manage and provide leadership for a highly motivated team that handles real estate, facilities operations, projects, transportation and events for the Americas Region. This role will report to the Vice President of Global Real Estate (Americas APAC and EMEA) and will work closely with peers in groups including Workplace Design, Culinary, Legal, Enterprise Engineering, Human Resources, and Global Security. The person will be responsible for building and owning relationships with key stakeholders and internal facilities partners while also supporting the creation and execution of facilities plans throughout North America. The North America Real Estate and Facilities team is responsible for making employees feel like Facebook's offices are industry leading and a truly special place to workthe Director is the main POC for internal stakeholders and ultimately responsible for ensuring that Facilities enable business teams to do their work effectively. This person will manage budgets, partner with finance to vet and understand headcount projections/requirements and work with HR and other teams to cost-effectively manage perks and amenities that have an impact on retaining employees. RESPONSIBILITIES Primary point of contact for internal clients and stakeholders, responsible for building trust and open communication channels. Responsible for supporting the creation and execution of real estate plans that enable the company to have adequate space in North America for our employees in a work environment that is safe, productive and comfortable. Drive decision making process quickly and ensuring buy-in from Facilities leadership as well as key stakeholders. Maintain all facilities programs over the various North America sites. Understand the unique Facebook culture and ensure facilities plans reflect that culture. Understand Facilities and real estate team culture and ensure this culture is maintained and enhanced in North America. Cost-effectively manage perks and amenities that have a big impact on retaining employees. Oversee a highly driven group of transactions managers, facilities managers, project managers, and transportation and events teams. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 15+ years of experience in the real estate industry. Experience of managing multi disciplinary teams. Track record of mentorship, developing people and growing teams. Experience in managing service providers and vendors to provide solutions. Negotiation experience in all kinds of real estate, construction and facilities contracts. Undergraduate degree, MBA and industry accreditations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Fast moving, flexible, strategic thinker who has created and maintained real estate and facilities programs for a multi-city, multi-site region. A persuasive and credible communicator who can earn the trust of colleagues and management. Experience in executing and developing projects and programs on schedule and on budget. Campus experience.
