The purpose of the Elancos Global Records and Litigation role, directly reporting to Head of Regulatory Legal and Litigation, is to contribute to the vision, strategic direction, leadership and management for the company in its Global Records and Information Management Program, including both electronic and paper-based records. In addition, the role will support Head of Regulatory Legal and Litigation and respective team members on litigation matters. Develops record management related policies and procedures.- Contributes to the vision, strategic direction, mission, and long-term planning for the Global Records and Information Management Program. Identifies and establishes goals and objectives while driving the Global Records and Information Management Program. Manages inactive records storage. Participates in the continuing management and application of the Global Records Retention Schedule.
Records Management (30%):
Consultant and Facilitator of Global Records Stakeholders (40%): Participates in and facilitates the Global Records and Information Management governance processes across the organization.- Influences the business on enterprise-wide records management compliance issues and associated risk mitigation. Works with Head of Regulatory Legal and Litigation on implementing and managing processes associated with regulatory compliance as it relates to records management. Leverages records management technical expertise to influence direction of new standards, processes, best practices, and strategies. Collaborates with business functions to streamline and improve global information management to increase efficiency and reduce risk. Conducts periodic assessments to evaluate efficiency of current systems and short- and long-term resources across the organization. Demonstrates accountability by communicating strategic information to management and stakeholders including assessment of the value of records management products and policies and the implementation of same. Communicates records management best practices enterprise-wide. Leads and engages other programs within Elanco, such as legal and compliance, for overall increased records management effectiveness. Serves on enterprise-wide committees to develop and monitor records management strategies and objectives. Participates in enterprise-wide forums as a consultant/advisor on Global Records and Information Management topics. Holds leadership roles within external professional records management organizations, such as ICRM and ARMA, and maintains broad contacts/network with external records management professionals. Mentors and develops records management leaders in other functions.
Provides necessary Records and Information Management training as applicable.
Litigation Consultant (30%): Works with Head of Regulatory Legal and Litigation on designing, implementing and managing processes for tracking and monitoring global litigation.- Conducts periodic assessments to evaluate litigation trends and risks globally. Assists with litigation matter management. In conjunction with Head of Regulatory Legal and Litigation, serves as litigation team liaison to Elanco business unit representatives, in-house counsel, suppliers, vendors, and outside counsel to effectively manage the flow and accuracy of information in litigation matters. Facilitates and manages document/record production processes in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.

Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in Library Science, Information Science, Business or other related degree preferred Certified Records Manager (CRM) or agreement to obtain CRM certification is required. 8+ years records management (RM) experience 8+ years experience leading, participating in and/or coordinating large, complex business projects. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
