Regulatory Operations role is responsible for properly reporting Client's Capital Market's OTC trade details as a US Swap Dealer to the various regulators, CFTC, EMIR and Canada. The use of knowledge and skills obtained through experience are used to update client regulatory details, facilitate submissions by complying with regulatory reporting requirements, monitoring, maintaining controls and ensuring proper compliance with industry rules and regulations. Strongly integrated within the team to ensure good communications and smooth workflows. Collaborates with manager to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and productivity improvements to mitigate regulatory, reputational and financial risk. Assist in the integration of new and changing rules and regulations. Works with team to update processes as well as updating departmental procedures with guidance from Manager. Contact with customers as well as various internal teams as required to research, identify and resolve issues and inquiries.
Work closely with Sales and Legal to facilitate our client's regulatory documentation within our proprietary database in accordance with CFTC, EMIR and Canada for OTC trading
Ensure timely documentation completion process via workflows
Update Regulatory details in multiple different systems to assist in system parallel
Liaise with external clients to answer Regulatory inquiries
Facilitate Regulatory data control process and follow ups
Assist in documentation, procedure write ups and checklists
GTR Regulatory Reporting for MCM (US Swap Dealer) and MSC (Cayman Corp) across CFTC, EMIR and Canada regimes for OTC products, FX, Rates, Credit and Equity
Real-Time trade break monitoring and alerts
Escalation of regulatory issues to appropriate team (work directly with team Compliance, Back & Middle Office and Front Office)
UAT testing for new Regulatory change requirements (i.e. Brexit, SEC Security Based Swaps, CFTC restructure and harmonization)
Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of Derivative products
Knowledge in Dodd Frank Act, EMIR and Canadian OTC regulations
Clear understanding of Master Agreements, DFA Protocols, EMIR, Canadian OTC Province regulations, Cross Border regulations and Self Disclosure Letters
Team player, jumps in and helps out wherever needed
Independent, hardworking and eager to learn (can do attitude)
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Good communication skills
Appropriate and confidential handling of client data
