The Compliance Analyst is responsible for providing day-to-day support to continuously improve Smith & Wesson's compliance program. This position will report directly to the Director of Compliance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the Company's Ethics and Compliance program by serving as the primary contact for questions and requests Assist in the management and awareness of the Company's Ethics Hotline; assist with triaging reports, planning and conducting investigations. Conduct due diligence on foreign agents, vendors and \"deemed exports\" consistent with the various regulations, including the FCPA Support and/or lead the execution of the Company's quarterly training initiatives (i.e., development, roll-out, and monitoring of completion rates; leading training sessions) Assist with the development of compliance related policies and procedures Prepare agenda, reports, presentations, and other materials for the Company's Business Ethics Committee meetings Manage the Company's policy database, including collecting and assembling policies across the enterprise and publishing final policies Performs other duties as requested QUALIFICATIONS: Experience, Competencies and Education Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience; Professional work experience in a compliance-related field strongly preferred; Strong time management and document management skills with fine attention to detail Reputation for and absolute commitment to integrity and professionalism Superior interpersonal, oral and written communications skills with the ability to relate to employees and management at all levels Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule (e.g., able to meet the requirements of the position as needed, including ability to work evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice); Must meet all ITAR requirements and have the legal ability to possess firearms and ammunition Language Skills Must have strong command of the English language, in both oral and written communications. Computer Skills Demonstrated proficiency with SAP (or similar ERP software) Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and database skills. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Massachusetts Class A License to Carry Firearms (or must have ability to obtain a Massachusetts Class A License to Carry Firearms). Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience; Professional work experience in a compliance-related field strongly preferred; Strong time management and document management skills with fine attention to detail Reputation for and absolute commitment to integrity and professionalism Superior interpersonal, oral and written communications skills with the ability to relate to employees and management at all levels Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule (e.g., able to meet the requirements of the position as needed, including ability to work evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice); Must meet all ITAR requirements and have the legal ability to possess firearms and ammunition
