The Senior Director of Government Contracts is responsible for managing all federal, New York State and New York City contracts; serving as a liaison with funding agencies regarding fiscal matters; assisting the CFO and VP-Finance in the preparation of annual budget(s); supervising a budget director; overseeing budgeting and contract vouchering processes. Requires working with the finance team and frequent interaction with executive staff, other administrators, and program managers. Duties: Responsibilities Include: -Responsible for overall oversight, development and maintenance of systems to monitor and track contract mandates, deliverables and contract receivables -Manages contract amendments, close-out budget modifications, and other required documentation for government contracts -Monitors expenditures for each contract through the life cycle of the contract, and partners closely with the CFO and/or SVP for Programs and/or VP Finance, and other key leaders -Assists CFO and VP Finance in the preparation of annual operating budget -Collaborates with VP of Development/Communication in generating, monitoring, and reporting on budgets related to non-contract funding sources -Oversees preparation of monthly or quarterly vouchers to government funders, ensuring timely submission of all vouchers and related compliance reports -Prepares variance analysis for budget meetings with senior management and program managers -Serves as an AOR (Authorized Organizational Representative) to submit applications to federal agencies electronically Qualifications: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: -Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency with MS Office and Google product suites; proficiency with Excel and Great Plains software; familiarity with CBR systems and extensive experience with the CFR -Strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills with an ability to work with program management and financial staff as well as liaising with government agencies - Ability to learn changing technologies related to grants/contracts management REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: -Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance; Masters degree -Experience with NYS agencies including Office of Mental Health, AIDS Institute, OMH; NYC agencies including HRA, HASA, DHS, DOHMH, DYCD, as well as federal agencies such as HUD and SAMHSA; ability to manage relationships and effectively communicate with grantors and funders -At least ten (10) years of experience in federal, New York State and New York City grants/contracts administration Comunilife provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
