AssistantDistrict Attorney - Hampden District Attorney's Office Prosecute all aspects of criminalcases in primary and jury sessions of the District Court and the Juvenile Courtin Hampden County; Review police reports and chargingdecisions made by police agencies and make appropriate recommendations andchanges as needed; Handle arraignments in court, makebail requests, motions for conditions of release, motions for detention such asdangerousness hearings and ball revocation hearings as appropriate; Provide mandatory discovery todefendants/defense counsel; Handle all pretrial motions filed bydefense counsel including requests for further discovery, evidentiary andnon-evidentiary motions to suppress, dismiss, etc. and to prepare writtenmemoranda and briefs where appropriate; Review case files, applicable statutesand case law, victim information and input, and determine an appropriaterecommendation for case resolution; Conference all matters and makerecommendations for case resolution at mandatory case conference sessions withdefense counsel; Handle any mental health commitmentmatters which Impact criminal cases; Handle case resolution by way of plea,trial, or dismissal where appropriate; Follow the mandates of the Victim's Billof Rights. Qualifications Required: law school graduates (Juris Doctorate Degree) and applicants with SJC Rule 3:03 certification.
