We have a fantastic opportunity for a LEAD CONTRACT MANAGER in our Danbury, CT facility. Position Overview As Lead Contract Manager, you will be responsible for day to day oversight of the Danbury CT contracts team, and will be the primary customer interface on contracts related issues. You will oversee the completion of contracts, train employees and ensure compliance with (and improve) existing policies and procedures. You will advise and influence senior Site Leadership within the organization on complex contractual issues. Responsibilities: Lead a team of experienced contract professionals in executing their day to day contract responsibilities Play a key role in the development and coaching of the contracts team Provide advice and counsel to the Site Leadership team on contract matters, including identification and mitigation of contract and business risk, identification of contracts rights and obligations, and other complex legal and contractual issues Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities for contracts, in conjunction with the team, to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications Represent the organization on legal issues concerning contractual matters. Act as primary interface with the General Counsel on high risk terms and conditions Education / Certifications 6-8 years experience in contracts or related fields Bachelor s Degree required, Advanced Degree (MBA, JD) preferred Experience/Qualifications Extensive experience working with FAR, DFARS and other agency supplements Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent time management and organization skills Demonstrated negotiation skills, with the ability to understand the financial intricacies of contracts and drive the overall negotiation strategy Strong interpersonal skills including teamwork and the ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels internally and externally Ability to travel required Must be a US citizen and must either hold a current US DoD clearance or must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance.
