Cambridge Consultants is looking for a Senior Contracts Manager to join our team in Seattle, Washington. We are a contract design and development company that provides a wide range of design, development and professional services work to its clients. In preparation for that work, we need to agree a set of contractual terms with our clients and suppliers. This role requires the successful candidate to be a member of a team that negotiates a mutually acceptable set of terms having taken into account the specific imperatives relating to the work being undertaken.

The role requires a balance of empathy for, and understanding of, the technical work we do and relating that to the terms and conditions that are essential so that we can contract with our clients and suppliers in a way that does not place the company at unreasonable risk. We usually propose that we work to our standard terms, but often have to evolve these or our client?s terms to agree on a mutually acceptable set. This often requires a balanced view to be taken so that we obtain those terms that are critical to maintaining our joint future.

In addition to, contract negotiation the candidate will also need to provide professional advice in associated areas of export control advice, anti-bribery, security and modern slavery as they apply to business and purchasing contracts as well as training staff in these areas.

This role is a support service that underpins the work of all divisions of the company. The successful candidate will join the Business Office and report to the Contracts Director in our UK office, providing the services required. As a small team of six we each take prime responsibility for a number of functions but must be prepared to support each other where workload of availability demands. The candidate will be the team member responsible for leading the delivery of legal services for our work with US clients and leading negotiations that are required in US time zones and will be located in Seattle.

Cambridge Consultants values the contributions of our team and is committed to providing challenging opportunities and developing the careers of its employees. We?re a dynamic organization that appreciates the background and experiences our employees bring to the table.
