Silver Spring office of our client seeks junior associate attorney with 2+ years of experience in immigration law and a solid understanding of family-based and employment-based petitions, naturalization, adjustment of status, asylum, SIJS, U Visas, waivers, cancellation of removal, and other aspects of U.S. immigration law. The candidate will coordinate legal case strategies. Will handle trial preparation. Attend master calendar hearings and individual/merits hearings. Conduct initial consultation appointments for new clients. Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and correspondence to clients and other counsel. Research unique legal issues by identifying applicable statutes and judicial decisions. Remain aware of legislative changes that may affect immigration matters. Should be fluent in Spanish. Active Bar license from any U.S. state (in a good standing) is essential.
The candidate should have excellent writing skills. Ability to manage a high case volume and meet deadlines essential.
