Barclays Financial Crime is responsible for positioning Barclays to most effectively mitigate the risks of Anti-money Laundering (AML), terrorism financing, economic sanctions (Sanctions) and Anti-bribery and corruption (ABC). The Financial Crime function operates within a group-wide program to meet requirements of relevant laws and regulations and is supported by a Financial Crime Shared Services function.
What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities will include:
?Provide timely and balanced advice on U.S. U.K. U.N. and E.U. sanctions requirements and Barclays Sanctions Policy to Businesses within the aligned Businesses.
?Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of the sanctions control framework and drives effective oversight over it by a variety of means including, review of management information.
?Build strong and trusted relationships with the Business and relevant compliance teams.
?Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the law and practice of all U.S. U.K. U.N. and E.U. sanctions regimes, as well as financial industry implementation practices.
?Liaise with the Barclays Sanctions Heads of Policy and Program as required to execute OFAC specific requirements.
What we?re looking for:
?3+ years? experience with Excel (including pivot table and formulas) and PowerPoint presentation skills
?3+ years of working regulatory advisory experience working at a financial institution, law firm or government agency
?2+ years demonstrating strong leadership and operational management skills.
Skills that will help you in the role:
?2+ years working with OFAC, HMT, EU, UN and other jurisdictional sanctions laws, regulators, regulatory expectations and industry best practice.
?ICA Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering, prior experience working at a Financial institution or similar entity which provided exposure to banking and securities operations.
